Bernard Arnault, chairman and CEO of LVMH Moët Hennessy – Louis Vuitton SE, the world's largest luxury goods company, has sold off his private jet. Reports said this was after Twitter users started tracking his flights online.

Arnault, 73, co-founder of the Paris-based maker of Louis Vuitton handbags and the wine and spirits giant Moët Hennessy, was reported as telling Radio Classique that he has been renting private jets after his own jet. This was reported by Bloomberg News.


Arnault's move came after Twitter accounts such as “I Fly Bernard” and “Bernard’s Airplane” - which tracked his aircraft’s movement - sprung up

The account “I Fly Bernard” revealed their motive to expose billionaires by tracking their “ultra-polluting private plane's” routes. This account has more than 68,000 followers.

Another account named “laviondebernard” was seen sharing updates on Bernard Arnault’s private jet routes till September. In September, the flight did not renewm registration in France. On September 10, after failing to get a response from both Bernard Arnault and LVMH on the status of private jets, the account asked if Bernard Arnault was hiding somewhere.
