Actor Boman Irani opened the doors of his Mumbai home to filmmaker Farah Khan for a YouTube video released on August 5. The 65-year-old actor, known for his work in films such as Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. and 3 Idiots, lives with his wife Zenobia Irani in a residence that blends art, family memories, and functional living spaces.

Farah entered the house with her cook, Dilip, and said, “This is beautiful.” The residence combines two large flats connected by a corridor lined with paintings and a memory wall of family photographs.

The main living room features green and white sofas, marble floors, and high ceilings. Artworks are placed throughout the space. Showing Farah the den, Boman said, “We watch movies here.” Farah added, “Please do not miss this, he has this extra-long sofa because of his huge family.” Boman replied, “So big that sometimes we still need to add extra chairs. This is like our little auditorium.”

The dining area, located across the corridor, has a wooden dining table, classic chairs, and a small chandelier. Farah noted the number of paintings on the walls.

Boman pointed to a piece by Satish Gujral, the younger brother of former Prime Minister Inder Kumar Gujral. Seeing another work, Farah remarked, “This one? I thought it was a Hussain!” before learning from Boman that it was created by food vlogger Kunal Vijayakar.

Victorian-style kitchen

The kitchen drew special attention from Farah, who called it “London ka kitchen” for its Victorian look and wallpaper. Addressing Zenobia, she said, “Your kitchen is so beautiful, Zenobia. Did you get it renovated just before inviting me?” Zenobia explained that the renovation took place about two years ago.
