As per official information, the National Lok Adalat will take place on January 10, 2026, across all Delhi District Court Complexes. The session was earlier planned for December but was rescheduled. The Lok Adalat provides a platform to close long-pending traffic cases without lengthy court proceedings.Online registration is mandatory
Motorists must register online to participate. Walk-in cases are generally not accepted. After registration, a token number and appointment letter are issued, mentioning the date, time, and court location for the hearing. Cases are taken up strictly in the order of token numbers.The online link for token registration was activated on January 5, 2026, at 10 am.
Step-by-step guide to settle traffic challans
Step 1: Check pending challansVehicle owners should first check all unpaid challans on the Delhi Traffic Police website or the Parivahan portal using the vehicle registration number or challan number.
Only minor and compoundable traffic offences are eligible. Serious violations are excluded and will not appear for Lok Adalat settlement.
Step 3: Register online
Eligible applicants must complete online registration in advance. Details should be entered carefully, as corrections later may not be allowed.
Step 4: Download token and appointment letter
After successful registration, applicants must download and print the token and appointment slip. These are mandatory for entry.
Step 5: Visit court on January 10
Applicants must reach the assigned court complex mentioned in the appointment letter. Authorities advise reaching at least an hour early to avoid long queues.

Step 7: Payment and closure
If a settlement is reached, the revised amount must be paid the same day. A receipt is issued, and the challan is closed in the system.
