The Delhi Traffic Police is organising a National Lok Adalat on February 14, giving motorists a day-long window to settle their dues. The Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA) and the Delhi Traffic Police is organising a special Lok Adalat this week to provide an opportunity for vehicle owners aiming to settle their pending challans and notices in one go. This special Lok Adalat will be held in Delhi on February 14, 2026.

Lok Adalat 2026 Delhi: Date and Time

A special Lok Adalat is being organised in Delhi, offering an opportunity to settle your challan at a reduced amount. The initiative, held in coordination with the Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA), will take place across seven court complexes in the capital.

Lok Adalat 2026 Token Registration direct link and how to apply

To download and print the notice/challan, log on to the Delhi Traffic Police website: https://traffic.delhipolice.gov.in/lokadalat or scan the QR code. To take part, vehicle owners must download and print their challans/notices in advance. This can be done by visiting the Delhi Traffic Police website. Citizens can also scan the QR code provided by the department.

Select the option for online Lok Adalat application, fill in the form, upload required documents, and submit it. A token number is then sent via email or phone.

"It is mandatory to bring a printout of the notice/challan. No printout facility will be available in the court premises.

"A Special Lok Adalat will be organized in all court complexes of Delhi on 14 February, 2026 (Saturday) for the payment of pending payable traffic challans/notices. Avail this opportunity for the payment of pending challans/notices," Delhi Traffic Police wrote in a tweet.

The facility for downloading challans went live on February 9 at 10 am. Access is limited. Only 50,000 challans can be downloaded per day, with an overall cap of 2,00,000 challans.

"This link will be activated from 10:00 AM on 09.02.2026 and will remain available until the limit of 2,00,000 challans/notices is exhausted," the post read. Applicants are required to carry all original vehicle documents along with challan details. Authorities have advised motorists to download their challans at the earliest to avoid missing out once the quota is exhausted.

Lok Adalat 2026 Delhi: How to get rebate

Step 1: Check pending traffic challans

Visit the Delhi Traffic Police website or the Parivahan portal and enter your vehicle registration or challan number to view unpaid e-challans. Only challans listed on these official platforms are eligible.

Step 2: Confirm challan eligibility

Only minor and compoundable offences qualify. Serious violations such as drunk driving or hit-and-run cases are not considered for Lok Adalat settlement.

Step 3: Register online for Lok Adalat

Complete the online registration in advance through the Delhi Traffic Police website or the DSLSA Lok Adalat portal. Walk-in requests are generally not accepted.

Step 4: Download token and appointment letter

After registering, download and print the token number and confirmation slip, which are required for entry and case listing.

Step 5: Visit the assigned court on Feb 14

Go to the court complex mentioned in your appointment letter and carry original documents such as RC, driving licence, insurance, pollution certificate, and challan receipts.

Step 6: Case hearing and settlement

A Lok Adalat bench will review the case and may reduce or fully waive the fine, depending on the offence.

Step 7: Pay the revised fine and collect receipt

If a settlement is reached, pay the updated fine the same day at the designated counter and collect the official receipt confirming resolution.

Lok Adalat 2026 Delhi: Key points to remember

Only compoundable Traffic Challans/Notices pending on Delhi Traffic Police Portal and forwarded to Virtual Court till 30.10.2025 will be taken up in this Lok Adalat.

All the Notices/Challans are to be downloaded from Delhi Traffic Police Website i.e. https://traffic.delhipolice.gov.in/notice/lokadalat or by scanning the QR Code.

It is mandatory to carry a printout of the Notice/Challan, as no printing facility will be available at the court complexes.

Lok Adalat 2026 Eligibility:

Traffic Challan that can be settled Minor traffic offences are eligible for settlement. These include driving

Without a helmet or seatbelt

Over-speeding Jumping red lights

Wrong parking Driving without a valid PUC certificate

Ignoring traffic signs

Missing number plates

Incorrectly issued challans.

In limited cases, driving without a licence may also be considered. Serious offences, challans from other states, and cases already pending in regular courts are excluded.
