Delhi Lok Adalat traffic challan

Lok Adalat 2025 Delhi Date: The National Lok Adalat held on 13 September 2025 gave vehicle owners across Delhi an opportunity to resolve their pending traffic challans with reduced fines or waivers. Those who missed this session will get another chance soon, as the next Lok Adalat in Delhi is scheduled for 13 December 2025. These sessions are organised multiple times every year to settle minor disputes, including traffic challans, outside regular courts.

Lok Adalat 2025 Delhi Next Date

According to the Delhi State Legal Services Authority, Lok Adalats are conducted four times annually at district courts, the Delhi High Court, and other designated venues.

Lok Adalat 2025 Delhi Courts

Lok Adalat sessions in Delhi are conducted at:

  • Karkardooma Court
  • Patiala House Court
  • Saket Court
In addition to district courts, hearings are also held at the High Court of Delhi, Consumer Disputes Redressal Commissions, Debt Recovery Tribunals, and Permanent Lok Adalats.

Lok Adalat cases

During Lok Adalat sessions, vehicle owners can settle challans for minor violations such as:

  • Driving without a helmet or seat belt
  • Over-speeding
  • Wrong parking
  • Driving without a Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate
  • Jumping traffic signals
  • Driving without a valid license or fitness certificate

Lok Adalat: What cases are not covered

Serious violations will not be considered under the Lok Adalat. These include:

  • Drunk driving
  • Hit-and-run incidents
  • Death caused by negligent driving
  • Driving by minors
  • Unauthorised racing or use of vehicles in crimes
  • Cases already pending in courts
