Life in Delhi Metro: Snake makes a cameo, causing panic among passengers

A video from a Delhi Metro ladies’ coach has gone viral on social media. It shows a group of women screaming, jumping on seats, and rushing to one side of the train, all in panic. The reason? They thought they saw a snake.

Interestingly, the snake is not actually seen in the video. But the way the women reacted shows they truly believed one was there. So far, it’s not clear which metro line or station the incident happened on.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has not released any official statement yet.

How Did People React Online?

The video quickly caught people’s attention online. Some reacted with humour, while others were concerned about the fear it caused.

One person joked, “This is like a wildlife safari,” comparing the metro ride to an adventure. Another said, “Delhi Metro is not a metro anymore, it’s a circus.”

Someone who claimed to be in the train shared their side, saying, “I had this wild experience yesterday. Someone mistook a lizard for a snake and started the rumour.”

Many also tried to guess where it happened. One user said, “This must be Sarojini Nagar,” referring to the busy metro station near the popular shopping market.
But not everyone laughed. “It’s not funny at all,” said a user, pointing out that such incidents can cause real panic, especially in crowded places like the metro.
