‘Lexi’: India’s first AI assistant powered by ChatGPT, here's everything you need to know about it
India now has its first ChatGPT-powered AI chatbot. The chatbot, named Lexi, was introduced by financial technology business Velocity and is incorporated into their in-house analytics platform.

Velocity insights, Velocity's proprietary analytics platform, has been linked with the chatbot. The chatbot was unveiled in an official blog post by the firm.
Velocity Insights Velocity’s blog post states “We are excited to introduce India’s first chatbot tool, which is connected with ChatGPT. This latest innovation in artificial intelligence has been integrated into our current analytics platform”.
Abhiroop Medhekar, CEO and co-founder of Velocity, stated in the same blog post that the product teams had been brainstorming ways to leverage the ChatGPT technology for the benefit of their clients.
Velocity insights assists firms in tracking market spending, sales, and so on. It delivers crucial business information to founders, which can be accessible via WhatsApp in the form of a daily business report. Customers will be able to use the AI, Lexi, to answer their questions now that ChatGPT has been incorporated into the same WhatsApp interface.
According to the company “The combination of ChatGPT with Velocity Insights enables eCommerce entrepreneurs by giving AI-powered business insights in a conversational way, saving time for important business operations”.
