Leopard that terrorised Bengaluru locality finally caught

After three days of intense search operations, Forest department officials caught the feline on November 1. The elusive animal was finally trapped in the Bommanahalli Industrial area.

On October 29, the leopard was seen by some as it entered an apartment in Kudlu. The sighting left residents terrorised.

The leopard that had been terrorising a Bengaluru locality has finally been caught.

According to reports, the big cat had strayed from the wild and was seen near Electronic City in Bengaluru south.


After three days of intense search operations, Forest department officials caught the feline on November 1. The elusive animal was finally trapped in the Bommanahalli Industrial area.

It was reportedly hiding in an abandoned building before running into a trap set by forest officials.

The leopard was bundled and shoved into a cage and was taken away.

On Wednesday morning, the leopard attacked and injured a veterinarian while he was trying to dart it, news agency PTI reported.

Thereafter, the animal made its escape and hid.

On October 29, the leopard was seen by some as it entered an apartment in Kudlu. The sighting left residents terrorised.

To catch the leopard, experts from Mysuru were brough in.

The area is not very far from Bannerghatta National Park, from where the animal is believed to have strayed into the city.
