Lawyers clash inside Jhansi courtroom over client's bail proceedings; Watch viral video here

A dramatic scuffle broke out inside a courtroom on Saturday afternoon as two lawyers and their associates were caught on camera engaging in a violent altercation, swinging sticks and hurling chairs at each other. The incident, recorded by a bystander, quickly spread across social media platforms, drawing widespread attention.

According to Circle Officer (City) Sneha Tiwari, the clash took place inside the Assistant City Magistrate's courtroom, although the magistrate was not present at the time. One of the parties later filed a complaint at the Nawabad police station, alleging that the dispute erupted during a client's bail hearing under Section 151 of the CrPC. The complainant claimed the opposing lawyer attempted to poach their client, which triggered the confrontation.




Reacting to the incident, District Bar Association president Chandrashekhar Shukla called it serious and unacceptable. He confirmed that a committee has been set up to investigate the matter, and assured that strict action will be taken against the lawyer found responsible.
