Mumbai’s Lalbaugcha Raja will once again be among the biggest attractions of Ganesh Chaturthi 2026. The 93rd edition of the Lalbaugcha Raja Ganeshotsav will begin on Monday, September 14, 2026, and continue until Friday, September 25, Anant Chaturdashi. The dates have been confirmed by the Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal.

For devotees planning a visit, the biggest questions are straightforward: When does darshan start? Is there a VIP pass? Do you have to pay for darshan? What is the Charan Sparsh timing? And if the queue is too long, can you watch Lalbaugcha Raja online?

Here is the 2026 guide.

Lalbaugcha Raja 2026 darshan time

Lalbaugcha Raja darshan is expected to continue through the day and night during the Ganeshotsav period. Based on the schedule followed by the mandal in recent years, general darshan begins around 5 am, while the Mukh Darshan and Charan Sparsh queues generally open around 6 am. However, crowd management can change queue timings, so devotees should check the mandal's official updates before leaving for the pandal.

The two main options are:

  • Mukh Darshan: For devotees who want a glimpse of Lalbaugcha Raja.

  • Charan Sparsh/Navsachi Line: For devotees seeking closer darshan and the opportunity to touch the feet of the idol.

The Charan Sparsh queue can take considerably longer than the Mukh Darshan line, particularly during peak hours.

Lalbaugcha Raja VIP Pass 2026: Is there a ticket?

This is where devotees should be careful. There is currently no officially announced paid VIP ticket or VIP pass for Lalbaugcha Raja 2026 on the mandal's official website. Reports claiming fixed VIP prices or categories such as Gold, Silver or Platinum should not be treated as official unless the mandal announces them.

Regular darshan is free. NDTV also reports that devotees do not have to pay a fee for Lalbaugcha Raja darshan. So, if a website or social media account asks devotees to pay for a supposed "official VIP Lalbaugcha Raja pass", verify it carefully before making any payment.

There is no charge for regular Mukh Darshan or Charan Sparsh darshan. The mandal has not announced an official paid VIP ticket price for 2026 at the time of writing. Therefore, figures circulating online, including claims of ₹50, ₹500 or other amounts for special access, should not be assumed to be official.

Lalbaugcha Raja Charan Sparsh 2026 timing

The Charan Sparsh queue is generally opened from around 6 am during the festival. The same arrangement was followed in the previous edition, when the official mandal said the Charan Sparsh and Mukh Darshan queues would open from 6 am after the idol's installation.

For 2026, devotees should expect the Charan Sparsh line to operate for most of the day, subject to crowd movement and security arrangements. There is no separate online "Charan Sparsh" experience. The physical Charan Sparsh is available only to devotees visiting the pandal and entering the designated queue.

Lalbaugcha Raja live streaming 2026: What time can you watch?

Devotees who cannot travel to Mumbai can watch Lalbaugcha Raja online through the mandal's official platforms. The mandal has provided online darshan and live telecast during previous Ganeshotsav celebrations, including a 24x7 live stream. Its official website also provides online darshan through its website, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and mobile app.

For 2026, the official Lalbaugcha Raja live-telecast page is already available. The safest option is therefore to use the official Lalbaugcha Raja website or official social-media accounts, rather than relying on random YouTube streams. The official mobile app also lists Live Darshan & Broadcast of Lalbaugcha Raja 2026 among its features.

How to reach Lalbaugcha Raja 2026

The Lalbaugcha Raja pandal is located in the Lalbaug area of central Mumbai, around Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Road/Lalbaug Market. The official address is generally listed as Shree Ganesh Nagar, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Road, Lalbaug, Mumbai 400012.

By Mumbai local train

For most devotees, the local train is likely to be the easiest way to reach Lalbaug during Ganeshotsav.

Central Line:

  • Chinchpokli

  • Currey Road

  • Byculla

  • Parel

Western Line:

  • Lower Parel

Chinchpokli and Currey Road are among the closest and most convenient stations, with the pandal reachable on foot. Lower Parel is another option for those coming from the Western Line.

Road traffic can become extremely heavy around Lalbaug during Ganeshotsav. For that reason, taking a local train and walking the remaining distance may be more practical than taking a cab all the way to the pandal.

What devotees should remember

If you are planning to visit Lalbaugcha Raja this year, reaching early is the simplest way to avoid the worst of the crowd. Keep some extra time because the actual waiting period can change dramatically depending on the day and time.

And if your priority is simply to see Bappa rather than physically enter the queue, online live darshan is the easier option.

Most importantly, do not pay anyone claiming to sell an "official Lalbaugcha Raja VIP pass" unless the mandal itself announces such a facility. As of September 12, 2026, no official paid VIP ticket price has been announced.

Timings and queue arrangements can change because of crowd, security and local administration requirements. Devotees should check the mandal's official channels immediately before travelling.
