'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' actor Vikas Sethi dies of cardiac arrest

Television actor Vikas Sethi, widely recognized for his roles in popular TV shows such as Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahiin To Hoga, and Sasural Simar Ka, passed away at the age of 48 in Nashik on Saturday night. He reportedly died in his sleep following a cardiac arrest.

Sethi's wife, Jhanvi Sethi, revealed that the couple had travelled to Nashik for a family event when Vikas began feeling unwell. "After we arrived at my mother's house, he started experiencing vomiting and loose motions. He didn't want to go to the hospital, so we called a doctor to the house," she shared with PTI.

Tragically, the next morning, Jhanvi discovered that Vikas had passed away during the night. "When I went to wake him around 6 am, he was no more. The doctor confirmed that he had died in his sleep due to cardiac arrest," she said.


His mortal remains have been sent to Mumbai's Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem. Sethi's last rites are scheduled for Monday in Mumbai.

Beyond his television career, Sethi also appeared in the 2001 Bollywood hit Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham..., where he portrayed Robbie, a friend of Kareena Kapoor Khan's character Poo.

Sethi is survived by his wife and their twin sons.
