The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) application process has started on March 20, 2026, for the academic year 2026-27. As per the official notification, the online registration process for KVS admission will remain open until April 2, 2026. Authorities have urged parents and guardians to complete the application well in advance to avoid last-minute technical glitches.

KVS Admission 2026: Eligibility
A child must be at least 6 years old as of March 31 of the academic year, and must be below 8 years of age as of the same date. A child born on April 1 is also considered eligible. Children with special needs (CWSN) may receive up to two years of age relaxation.KVS Admission 2026: Important dates

Step 1: 10 RTE seats filled via lottery (neighbourhood criteria: 5 km in cities, 8 km elsewhere)
Step 2: Seats allotted for CwSN candidates across categories
Step 3: Remaining seats filled based on priority categories
Step 4: Unfilled SC/ST/OBC seats adjusted through another lottery
Step 5: Remaining vacancies filled from lower priority categories
