Kunal Kapur’s 2-ingredient chocolate banana pudding recipe: Easy dessert to make when you crave something sweet

When a dessert craving strikes, making something rich and chocolatey does not always have to mean spending hours in the kitchen. Instead of reaching for the usual ice cream, you can prepare a quick homemade treat with just two main ingredients.

This simple chocolate-banana pudding requires minimal preparation and can be ready in just a few minutes. The result is a creamy, thick and indulgent dessert that can be enjoyed immediately or chilled for a firmer texture.

Kunal Kapur Shares Easy Chocolate Pudding Recipe

Celebrity chef and MasterChef India judge Kunal Kapur has shared a simple recipe for a two-ingredient chocolate pudding that combines ripe bananas with melted chocolate.

In an Instagram video shared on September 16, the chef described the recipe: “Two ingredients. One seriously indulgent chocolate pudding. This is one of those recipes that feels almost too easy to be this good. Perfect for those sudden dessert cravings or when you want something sweet without spending an hour in the kitchen. Make it once, and I have a feeling this is going to become your new favourite chocolate fix.”

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 100 g dark or milk chocolate, chopped
  • Cocoa powder, for garnish (optional)

How To Make Chocolate Banana Pudding

Step 1: Prepare The Bananas

Peel the ripe bananas and chop them into smaller pieces. There is no need to cut them into perfectly equal pieces because they will be blended later.

Step 2: Melt The Chocolate

Break the chocolate into small pieces and melt it until smooth and glossy. You can use a microwave by heating it in short intervals and stirring between each interval. Alternatively, melt the chocolate using a double boiler.

Step 3: Blend The Ingredients

Place the chopped bananas and melted chocolate in a blender or food processor. Blend everything until you get a thick, smooth and creamy mixture without noticeable chunks of banana.

Step 4: Transfer And Chill

Pour the chocolate-banana mixture into serving bowls or glasses. If you prefer a soft and gooey consistency, you can enjoy it immediately.

For a thicker, pudding-like texture, place the bowls in the refrigerator and allow the dessert to chill before serving.

Step 5: Add Cocoa Powder

For an optional finishing touch, lightly dust some cocoa powder over the top. This adds a simple garnish along with an extra chocolate flavour.

How To Serve

Once prepared, the pudding can be eaten straight away for a softer consistency or refrigerated for a thicker texture. It makes a quick option when you want a homemade chocolate dessert without a lengthy preparation process.
