This episode explains the incident of sage Durvasa cursing Lord Indra and other Devas for being deprived of their power and fortune. Following the curse, Devas were defeated in the battle against the demon Bali. The defeated Devas then sought Lord Vishnu’s help, who guided them to churn out the nectar of immortality.
