Why is KSEAB trending?
According to a report by News18 Kannada, multiple videos and posts have gone viral on platforms such as Instagram, where miscreants are allegedly trying to mislead students by claiming they can supply question papers in exchange for money. The report further states that some social media accounts are sharing blurred images, purportedly of the Kannada, English, and Mathematics question papers.Responding to the situation, KSEAB President Prakash Nittali refuted claims of any security lapse. Speaking to News18 Kannada, he clarified that there has been no leak of the Second PUC question papers. He described the viral posts as completely baseless and assured that the education department has no reason to worry.
The Second PUC examinations will take place from February 28 to March 17. As many as 7,10,363 students have enrolled for the exams, which will be conducted at 1,217 centres statewide. To maintain transparency and prevent malpractice, webcasting has been made compulsory at all examination centres.
