Kristi Noem, who has been fired by US President Donald Trump from the post of homeland security secretary, was asked about rumours of an alleged affair with her advisor Corey Lewandowski. The issue came up during a House hearing attended by her husband, Bryon Noem. During the hearing, California Representative Sydney Kamlager-Dove directly asked whether Noem had “sexual relations” with Lewandowski during her tenure leading the Department of Homeland Security.

Throughout the hearing, Bryon Noem was sitting behind her but was seen leaving the room shortly before the question about the alleged affair was asked to her. “I am shocked we’re peddling tabloid garbage in this committee,” Noem responded.

Who is Corey Lewandowski?

There are rumours that Krishti Noem is allegedly having an affair with her long-time adviser, Corey Lewandowski. Corey Lewandowski was Donald Trump's 2016 campaign manager and then he became Noem's volunteer adviser when she was the governor of South Dakota. According to insiders, Kristi Noem's affair with Corey Lewandowski was an open secret.

According to a report in The Times of India, Corey Lewandowski is reportedly not held in high regard within many MAGA circles, amid allegations tied to his past conduct. Critics have pointed to a long list of controversies over the years, including claims of physical altercations, sexual harassment accusations, alleged illegal lobbying for a Venezuelan oil company, and an incident involving bringing a loaded firearm into a federal building.

An upcoming book by NBC News reporter Julia Ainsley calls the affair an 'open secret' as they often fly around the country together in a luxury 737 with a private cabin in the back.

According to the book, when Kristi Noem attempted to appoint Corey Lewandowski as her chief of staff, the White House blocked the move due to widespread rumors about their relationship. The book notes that Stephen Miller, Trump’s influential immigration adviser, was reportedly personally disturbed by what he saw as an apparent infidelity. Instead, Corey Lewandowski was brought on as a “special government employee,” a role comparable to the arrangement Elon Musk had when leading DOGE-related projects.

Both Kristi Noem and Lewandowski are married. While Kristi married Byron Noem in 1992 in South Dakota, Lewandowski has been married to Alison Hardy since 2005 and have children. Byron runs an insurance company, and the couple has three children.

“This guy doesn’t even like to ride horses… but he does for me and to create memories for our grandkids,” she wrote. She praised her sons-in-law and father-in-law and added that she felt “blessed” by the men in her family.
