Krishna Janmashtami holds immense significance in the hearts of Hindus across the nation. This day is celebrated with grandeur and devotion, as Lord Krishna, the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, is revered by all. His birth to Devaki Mata and Vasudeva occurred under dire circumstances, as they were imprisoned by the demon Kansa, who happened to be Lord Krishna's maternal uncle. The divine intervention saw Lord Krishna being born at midnight, and ultimately, he vanquished the malevolent Kansa.

Krishna Janmashtami: Puja Rituals
Devotees begin their day by waking up early and cleansing themselves with a ritual bath.

Homes are thoroughly cleaned, with a special focus on the puja room, which is decorated with flowers, balloons, and lights.

Laddoo Gopal ji, the child form of Lord Krishna, is bathed and adorned with new clothes, a Mukut (crown), Mor Pankh (peacock feather), and jewelry.

Chandan (sandalwood) tilak is applied, and offerings of various sweets and panchamrit (a mixture of milk, honey, yogurt, ghee, and sugar) are presented.
