Kolkata Metro to run 278 services on Republic Day; Know the schedule, routes and more
The Kolkata Metro Authority on Monday announced that on Republic Day 188 metros will run north-south (Blue Line) and 90 will run east-west (Green Line).

The 188 services will run on the nation's first metro network's North-South Corridor (Blue line), while 90 will run on the East-West Corridor (Green Line).
North – South corridor (Blue line)
At 06:50 a.m., the first metro service from Kavi Subhas to Dakshineswar and Dumdum to Kavi Subhas will begin. The first metro service from Dumdum to Dakshineswar and Dakshineswar to Kavi Subhas will begin at 06:55 and 07:00 hrs respectively. At 21:40 hrs, the last service from Kavi Subhas to Dumdum and Dumdum to Kavi Subhas will begin. The metro service on R-Day from Dakshineswar to Kavi Subhas and from Kavi Subhas to Dakshineswar will run until 21:28 hrs and 21:30 hrs, respectively.List of stations on the Blue line
The Blue line has 24 stations which include Dakshineswar, Baranagar, Noapara, Dum Dum, Belgachia, Rabindra Sarobar, Shyambazar, Shobhabazar Sutanuti, Jatin Das Park, Girish Park, Mahatma Gandhi Road, Central, Chandni Chowk, Esplanade, Park Street, Maidan, Netaji Bhavan, Kalighat, Mahanayak Uttam Kumar.East – West Corridor (Green line)
The country's oldest metro network will operate 45 UP and 45 DOWN trains in honour of Saraswati Puja on January 26. The train will operate from 06:55 a.m. to 22:00 p.m.The first metro services from Sealdah to Salt Lake Sector V will begin at 06:55 a.m., followed by Salt Lake Sector V to Sealdah at 07:00 a.m. At 21:35 hrs, the last metro will depart Sealdah for Salt Lake Sector V.
Stations on the East-West Corridor (Green line)
The Green line has a total of eight stations. Sealdah, Phoolbagan, Salt Lake Stadium, Bengal Chemical, City Centre, Central Park, Karunamoyee, and Salt Lake Sector-V are some of them.
However, there will be no metro service on the newly opened Joka-Taratala stretch of the Purple Line.
