India opener KL Rahul is back in the nets after a short break due to injury and there is a clip doing the rounds of him facing up to pacer Jhulan Goswami.

The video posted to Twitter by a user is from the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. Jhulan can be seen running in and bowling full tilt at Rahul. The first one is pitched up in the slot and Rahul nicely drives to cover. The second one is a tad short and Rahul gets on to the backfoot to cut it square.

The India vice captain missed the home series against South Africa and the away series in England as he was in Germany undergoing a surgery for sports hernia. The medical procedure put him out of competitive cricket for two months. Rahul underwent surgery after he suffered a series of lower abdominal strains and niggles.

He was last seen in action in the IPL where he successfully led the Lucknow Super Giants to the second qualifier, where they lost to the Rajasthan Royals led by Sanju Samson.

Jhulan, former captain of the national cricket team, is considered one of the greatest women fast bowlers of all time with 250 wickets in WODIs. She has retired from WT20Is.
