Heartbroken and upset, the auto driver said, "Bhai yaar, ye log aise kyu karte hai samaj me ni aata hai.. (I don't understand why do people resort to such measures). He went on to show the meter, which read 38 and said two women assured him they would return shortly to pay the fare.
"I went and saw there was another gate on the other side. I asked the guard if two women had come here to which he replied yes. The watchman said the two ladies had come, and they left from the other gate. I did not say anything and came back and sat in the auto. The meter was continuously increasing," he said.
The auto driver said that if they had told him they didn't have the money, he would have still dropped them at their destination. "But I don't know what people get from doing this? Alag Khushi milti hai...kisi ka Rs 20-30 duba ke kisi ka acha ni hoga. Kisi ka bura krke kabhi acha ni hoga," the driver can be heard saying in the video.
