A late-night food delivery error turned into a massive and violent clash at a society in Greater Noida with a viral video showing dozens of people fighting and brawling near the society's main gate. The incident took place in Nimbus Society in Greater Noida's Beta-2 were dozens of people were seen attacking each other with kicks, punches and sticks in a video that was circulated widely on social media. The late-night food delivery in Greater Noida led to a full-blown argument that spilled out of a tower and into a chaotic brawl near the main gate.

The incident occurred around 10 pm when a delivery agent mistakenly rang the wrong flat's doorbell. This confusion angered the resident, who asked the security guards to confront the delivery agent, police said. According to Vinod Kumar, SHO of the Beta-2 police station, the delivery agent, identified as Rohan Kumar (20), reached the society to deliver food to a resident but went to the wrong flat and rang the doorbell, reports TOI's Avishek Kumar.

Police said when the delivery boy rang the doorbell, the person who opened the door informed him that he did not order anything. But the delivery partner did not budge and rather asked him to check again. The flat owner called the security guards, and a heated argument broke out between them and the delivery agent.


The tensions escalated when Rohan called his friends and they also got into the argument, leading to a brawl involving sticks, rods and fists. Over a dozen men arrived at the main gate of the society on bikes after the delivery agent's call. Videos of this high-voltage drama went viral on social media, sparking concerns over safety in gated communities.

"The person who opened the door informed him that he did not order anything. But Rohan did not leave, and instead asked the resident to check. The flat owner called the security guards, and once they reached the tower, a heated argument started between them and the delivery agent," the SHO told TOI. Police said more guards arrived and asked Rohan to leave.

According to the SHO, the situation escalated after Rohan called his friends. "He made a call and told his friends he got into a fight with some guards of the society. Within minutes, 4-5 people came on two bikes. Soon, a fight had started between both groups," he said.

The SHO said the clash continued near the society's main gate for around 15 minutes due to which the residents and passerby went in panic mode. "The fight continued… but no one from the society informed the police," the SHO said.

Greater Noida violence video

The video was shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, by NCMIndia Council For Men Affairs, with the caption, "IITL Nimbus Express Parkview 2, Greater Noida. Delivery boy rang doorbell of the wrong flat by mistake. Flat owner called the society security guards who assaulted the Rider. Angry Rider also called his fellow riders and after that it was free for all." The fight went on for quite some time, but when the police arrived at the scene, the men on bikes ran away, with some even leaving their vehicles there.

After the violence was reported, a police team rushed to the spot after receiving information and brought the situation under control. However, by then, the accused had fled, abandoning their motorcycles. Police later reviewed the video circulating online along with other available evidence.

Based on a complaint by sub-inspector Amar Pal, an FIR was registered against the arrested accused and unknown persons under sections 191(2) (rioting), 191(3) (rioting armed with deadly weapon), 190 (every member of unlawful assembly guilty of offence committed in prosecution of common object), 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt) and 352 (intentional insult with the intent to provoke a breach of peace) of the BNS. The arrested accused are Rohan Kumar, a resident of Dadri, and three security guards — Akash Singh (24), Abhishek Chand (19) and Rajesh Kumar (19).

"The delivery boy and his associates escaped after leaving behind their motorcycle. We recovered two bikes from the spot. On the basis of their number plates, we identified Rohan and arrested him. We are trying to identify his associates. We identified the security guards after scanning the society's CCTV cameras and roster book," the SHO said.
