Khalnayak Returns announced: Sanjay Dutt to reprise iconic villain role in sequel

One of Bollywood’s most iconic villains is heading back to theatres. Aspect Production, the entertainment arm of Aspect Global Ventures, has acquired the production rights for Khalnayak Returns, the sequel to the 1993 cult film Khalnayak. The film will see Sanjay Dutt return to the role that defined his career, with the makers promising a new story that builds on the legacy of the original blockbuster.

Khalnayak, directed by Subhash Ghai, became one of the biggest films of its time. The film was powered by hit music and strong performances by Jackie Shroff and Madhuri Dixit alongside Sanjay Dutt. Even decades later, the film continues to enjoy strong recall among audiences.
