Khakee: The Bihar Chapter on Netflix packs a punch; it's not like any other gangster saga
Khakee: The Bihar Chapter is based on Bihar Diaries, the second novel by Amit Lodha. The series shows a righteous cop take on a merciless gangster, fighting bureaucracy and corruption along the way.

Lodha became a daring IPS officer and had a career so sensational that Netflix decided to create a series based on his exploits. Khakee: The Bihar Chapter is like an expansive version of Singham. It’s based on Lodha’s second novel, Bihar Diaries, in which the curious-faced cop narrates intriguing incidents based on how he captured Samant Pratap, one of the most feared gangsters in the state. The story is about how a righteous cop captures a merciless don, battling bureaucracy and corruption.
The story is set in the first decade of the second millennium when police, politicians, and criminals clashed with each other regularly in Bihar. Between good and evil, to quote George Orwell, it was difficult to say “which was which.” But for the Inspector General of Bihar’s Crime Records Bureau, navigating through such tough times was a routine.
Khakee: The Bihar Chapter is directed by Bhav Dhulia, starring Karan Tacker (Amit Lodha), Avinash Tiwary, Abhimanyu Singh, and Ravi Kishan. Acclaimed filmmaker Neeraj Pandey wrote the series, and Advait Nemlekar has composed the background score. Khakee: The Bihar Chapter releases on Friday, November 25.
