Kerala Vande Bharat Express: Fare, route, timings, and other details

Kerala's first Vande Bharat Express train will run between Thiruvananthapuram and Kasargod from April 26. Here are all the details including fare, route, timings, and more.

The Vande Bharat Express train has 16 coaches, of which two are executive with 104 seats.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off Kerala's first Vande Bharat train on April 25. Regular services of the train, from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasaragod, started from April 26. Here's everything you need to know about it.

Route: The train will run between Thiruvananthapuram and Kasaragod. It will have stops at Kollam, Kottayam, Thrissur, Shornur, Kozhikode, and Kannur.

Train Number: As notified by the Railway Board, the service of Vande Bharat Express will be introduced as Train No. 20633/20634 Kasaragod – Thiruvananthapuram Central – Kasaragod Vande Bharat Express.


Timing: According to the government, the total travel time will be 7 hours and 50 minutes.

Train No. 20633 Kasaragod - Thiruvananthapuram Central – Kasaragod Vande Bharat Express (except Thursdays) will leave Kasaragod at 14.30 hrs on and from 26th April, 2023 and reach Thiruvananthapuram Central at 22.35 hrs, the same day.

In return direction, Train No. 20634 Thiruvananthapuram Central - Kasaragod Vande Bharat Express (Except Thursdays) will leave Thiruvananthapuram Central at 05.20 hrs on and from 28th April, 2023 and reach Kasaragod at 13.25 hrs, the same day

Fare: Thiruvananthapuram Central - Kasaragod fare for AC Chair car (CC) is Rs 1,590 and executive chair car is Rs 2,880.

Coach Composition: The train has 16 coaches, of which two are executive with 104 seats.

Stoppages: The Thiruvananthapuram to Kasaragod Vande Bharat train will start from Thiruvananthapuram Central at 5.20 a.m. It will reach Kollam at 6.07 a.m., Kottayam at 7.25 a.m., Ernakulam Town at 8.17 a.m., Thrissur at 9.22 a.m., ShoranurJn at 10.02 a.m., Kozhikode at 11.03 a.m., Kannur at 2.03 p.m. and finally at Kasaragod at 13.25 p.m. It will stop for just two minutes at all stations, except Ernakulam where it will stop for three minutes.

The return train from Kasaragod will start at 22.35 p.m. and reach Thiruvananthapuram at 14.30 p.m.
