The video, initially shared by X user Rajan Medhekar, shows Roshni calmly capturing the cobra using a stick and placing it into a sack. The snake, identified as an 18-foot-long king cobra—one of the world’s most venomous reptiles—was reportedly found in the Peppara area of Thiruvananthapuram by local residents.

Sharing the clip, Tharoor praised the officer’s act, stating, “Amazing courage and competence on display by Forest Officer Roshni! Calling on the Kerala Govt to recognise her exemplary service appropriately.” He further noted, “Such bravery in the line of duty too often is taken for granted and remains unappreciated.”
