Kerala doctor's neat handwriting makes him a hit on social media
The prescription was written by Dr Nitin Narayanan, who works as a pediatrician at a Community Health Centre (CHC) in Kerala's Palakkad district

A doctor in Kerala is getting noticed after a sample his handwriting - neat, rounded block letters that make it easy even for a child to read his prescription - was shared on social media.
The prescription was written by Dr Nitin Narayanan, who works as a pediatrician at the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Nemmara in Palakkad district, and it became famous after it was shared on Facebook by a pharmacist.
"This prescription shows that if you write so legibly that the patient, the bystander and the pharmacist can read easily, your stature doesn't go down, it only rises," the post written in Malayalam by SD Bency said.
The prescription showed that Dr Narayanan completed his MBBS from the Thrissur Medical College and his MD from JIPMER, Pondicherry.
As for where he picked up that handwriting, he told the Mathrubhumi: “Copybook practices helped me and even after the completion of studies, I tried to maintain the writing style.”
He wasn't ready to criticise other medical practitioners with less legible hands, saying they might be quite busy.
While we are at it, let's recall this video tweeted a few weeks ago by industrialist which showed a doctor's handwriting progressively deteriorate as they progress from high school to medical school to PG to specialisation
Hilarious. But true… https://t.co/b3uoFIIm1R
