Reports suggest Trudeau recently bought a sprawling mansion in Montreal's upscale Outremont neighborhood, and some insiders believe the home could play a role in the couple's next chapter together. The $3.1 Million Montreal Mansion

According to multiple reports, Trudeau purchased a nearly century-old stone mansion in Montreal's prestigious Outremont district for about $3.1 million. The property spans nearly 5,000 square feet and features seven bedrooms, five bathrooms, a home office and even a ballroom.

The house reportedly sits on a large, private lot surrounded by mature trees and fencing, offering plenty of space and privacy. Trudeau is also said to be carrying out renovations on the property.

So, Is Katy Perry Moving In?

Not exactly.

According to reports cited by celebrity outlets, Trudeau would like Perry to spend part of the year at the Montreal property. However, the singer is not expected to relocate permanently from California.

One major reason is family. Perry shares daughter Daisy with former partner Orlando Bloom and reportedly wants to maintain stability for her child through their co-parenting arrangement. As a result, California is expected to remain her primary home.

For now, sources say the couple is successfully managing a long-distance relationship while making time to see each other regularly.

A Relationship That's Becoming More Public

The romance between Perry and Trudeau has become increasingly visible in recent months. The two also attended the FIFA World Cup 2026 opening ceremony in Los Angeles where Katy Perry was seen kissing Justin Trudeau after her performance at the World Cup, a video of which has gone viral online.

The pair recently made their official red-carpet debut together at the Tribeca Festival in New York, where they were photographed holding hands and posing together at the premiere of Perry's concert film.

They have also appeared together at several public events, including the FIFA World Cup opening festivities, further fueling interest in their relationship.

Why the House Purchase Is Generating Buzz

Some reports have suggested the mansion could eventually serve as a shared retreat for the couple when Perry visits Canada. Others have framed it as Trudeau preparing for a future where they spend more time together. However, there is no indication that Perry plans to move into the property full-time.

What is clear is that the home represents a significant new chapter for Trudeau following his departure from political office and amid a relationship that continues to attract global attention.
