FBI Director Kash Patel
Iran-linked hackers have breached the personal email account of Kash Patel, releasing a cache of personal photographs, documents and historical records online in what officials describe as a “hack-and-leak” operation. The Federal Bureau of Investigation confirmed the breach, stating the compromised data was largely old and did not involve classified government information.

According to the FBI, the attack targeted Patel’s personal inbox. A spokesperson said the agency had taken steps to mitigate potential risks and emphasised that the material accessed was “historical in nature,” with no impact on official or classified systems.

The pro-Palestinian group Handala Hack Team claimed responsibility, stating that Patel had been added to its list of “successfully hacked victims.” The group released a range of personal content online, including emails, photographs and documents spanning several years.

Email alias ‘spiderkash’ surfaces in leak

Among the leaked details was an unofficial email alias reportedly used by Patel, identified as “spiderkash,” which quickly drew attention and online reactions.

HDFC bank account details appear in cache

The leaked material reportedly shows Patel held a Non-Resident External (NRE) account with an Indian bank, including references linked to Gujarat-based financial records.

Photos show cigar use and informal personal moments

Several images in the leak show Patel smoking cigars and appearing in informal settings, including personal photographs circulated online by the hackers.
