Varnekar, who lives in the Sonarwada area of Karwar city, has taken his support for PM Modi to extraordinary levels. Not content with conventional displays of admiration, he built a temple dedicated to the Prime Minister in his own home and holds regular special prayers in his honour.
Using his own blood, Varnekar wrote a plea on the walls of his house, beseeching Goddess Kali to protect ‘Modi baba’. He passionately believes that PM Modi is the greatest leader and inscribed “Modi baba sabse mahan” on the wall, along with “Maa Kali Mata, Modi baba ka raksha karo”.
Varnekar is convinced that since PM Modi took office, the situation with neighbouring countries has improved significantly. He attributes the peace in the Kashmir region to PM Modi’s leadership, claiming that terrorist activities and soldier deaths have reduced. According to him, the nation’s progress depends entirely on PM Modi.
Varnekar had attempted to cut off his finger during the 2019 general election but was unsuccessful. This time, however, he managed to go through with it.
