Karnataka horror: Dentist kills mother-in-law, chops body into 19 pieces; hands, muscle tissue & intestine parts found across town
A dentist in Tumakuru is accused of a gruesome crime. He allegedly murdered his mother-in-law. The dentist dismembered her body into nineteen pieces. He scattered the remains across different locations. Two accomplices helped him. Police recovered...

The incident came to light on August 7, when passersby in Koratagere spotted plastic bags containing human remains. Police recovered two hands, muscle tissue, and parts of the intestine dumped at different spots within Koratagere Police Station limits. A suo motu murder case was registered, and investigators began cross-checking recent missing person reports.
Officers soon linked the remains to Lakshmi Devi (42), reported missing from Bellavi on August 3. Family members confirmed the identity through distinctive marks on the recovered hands. CCTV footage later revealed that Lakshmi Devi was last seen entering a white car belonging to her son-in-law, dentist Dr. Ramachandrappa S.
Following an intensive search, police recovered more remains on August 8—seven additional bags containing body parts and the victim’s severed head. In total, 19 pieces of the body were recovered.
A special team formed by Superintendent of Police Ashok K. V. arrested Ramachandrappa along with his accomplices, Satish K. N. and Kiran K. S., all residents of Tumakuru. The accused allegedly confessed to killing Lakshmi Devi inside the car and then dismembering the body to destroy evidence.
"On 7th August, we found pieces of human body parts in the Koratagere PS limits. We reached the spot and found that two hands, muscles, and parts of the intestine were thrown at different places in the Koratagere PS limits. We registered a suo moto murder case. When we verified the missing cases of recent times, we found that in Bellavi, one lady of a similar expected age had gone missing on 3rd August. When we verified the identity marks on the hands, the family members identified it... When we followed through the victim's movement, we found that she got into a white car. Based on the ownership of the car, we found it was owned by the deceased's son-in-law. They killed her in the car in the presence of the doctor (deceased's son-in-law). All three accused were sent to jail last night, and they are going to be produced before the magistrate today. The deceased's name is B Lakshmidevi, and the accused involved Dr Ramachandra (son-in-law), Satish and Kiran," Tumakuru SP Ashok KV told ANI.
Preliminary investigation suggests Ramachandrappa suspected his mother-in-law’s character, which he claimed caused him “embarrassment” and drove him to commit the crime. The three men have been remanded in judicial custody and are to be produced before a magistrate.
