Kapil Sharma’s KAP'S CAFE in Canada attacked by gunfire shortly after launch

Kapil Sharma’s restaurant, KAP'S CAFE, located in Surrey, Canada, was targeted in a shooting incident late Wednesday night.

As per reports, an unidentified attacker fired at least nine rounds from a moving vehicle outside Kap’s Cafe in Surrey, British Columbia. Social media videos show a man shooting multiple times before fleeing the scene. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported, and a police investigation is currently in progress.

Kap’s Cafe, which marks Kapil Sharma’s debut in the restaurant industry, is a joint venture with his wife Ginni Chatrath, who has been actively involved in its launch. Just days earlier, Ginni shared glimpses of the café’s interiors on Instagram. Friends and colleagues from the entertainment industry, including Kiku Sharda, had also shared their support and congratulatory messages.


It remains unclear whether the attack specifically targeted Kapil Sharma or his business, or if it was a random act or an attempt at intimidation. Authorities have yet to confirm a motive behind the shooting.

Meanwhile, Kapil Sharma is enjoying success with Season 3 of The Great Indian Kapil Show. His expansion into Canada’s hospitality scene had been met with enthusiasm, and Kap’s Cafe was widely seen as a promising addition to his growing brand.
