Kanye West India Concert Cancelled: The much-awaited India debut concert of Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, has officially been cancelled, just days before the rapper was scheduled to perform in New Delhi on May 23.

The announcement was made by White Fox, the event organisers behind the show, who said the concert could no longer proceed due to official security advisories and directives issued by authorities.

Organisers Say Safety Remains Top Priority

In an official statement released on Friday, White Fox said the team was “deeply disheartened” by the cancellation after months of planning and preparation.

“Ye Live in India, scheduled for 23rd May 2026 in New Delhi, will not be able to proceed due to directives issued by officials,” the statement read.

The organisers described the event as one of the biggest live productions ever planned in India and said public safety remained the top concern during the current sensitive situation.

“The safety and well-being of attendees and the citizens of India remain our highest priority during this sensitive time,” the company added.

The statement also thanked fans, crew members, partners and supporters who had been involved in the project.

Full Refunds To Be Issued

White Fox confirmed that all valid ticket holders who booked through official ticketing partner District will receive full refunds within five to seven business days.

The organisers also hinted that efforts are already underway to reschedule the event.

“We are currently working with the artist’s team to secure a new date and venue,” the statement said.

As of now, no revised concert date has been announced.

Ye’s India Concert Was One Of The Year’s Most Anticipated Music Events

The cancelled concert had generated massive excitement among Indian fans, as it would have marked Ye’s first-ever live performance in the country.

Over the years, Ye, previously known globally as Kanye West, has built a reputation as one of hip-hop’s most influential and controversial artists.

He is widely recognised for critically acclaimed albums including The College Dropout, Graduation, 808s & Heartbreak and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

Some of his biggest tracks include Stronger, Heartless, Runaway and Through the Wire.

His influence on modern hip-hop and contemporary artists remains enormous, with musicians like Travis Scott, Drake and Juice WRLD frequently citing him as a major inspiration.

Ye Recently Released ‘Bully’

The cancellation also comes shortly after Ye released his latest studio album, Bully, on March 28.

The project features collaborations with artists including Travis Scott, CeeLo Green and Andre Troutman.

While fans are disappointed by the sudden cancellation, many are now hoping the organisers manage to lock in a new India concert date soon.
