Rishabh Shetty, who rose to national prominence with 'Kantara' last year, recently attended a Bhoota Kola event made famous by the film. Shetty went to the festival in coastal Karnataka to seek blessings and thank the Gods for his film's success. 'Kantara', a Kannada film, was a sleeper smash, grossing more than Rs. 400 crore globally.


The film was set in coastal Karnataka and centred on the local Bhoota Kola celebration and the Daiva Nartakas, both of which are important elements of Karnataka's folklore and mythology. Following the publication of the film, the festival and ceremony became highly famous on a national scale. Rishabh and co-star Sapthami Gowda were seen in a video shared by the film's creators, Hombale Films, touring the festival and meeting one of the Daiva Nartakas.



The video was created to the melody of Varaha Roopam, the film's blockbuster song.

Rishabh directed Kantara, which also stars Kishore. The film, which was shot on a shoestring budget of Rs. 15 crore, eventually grossed over Rs. 400 crore, making it one of the most profitable Indian films of all time. It is the second highest-grossing Kannada film of all time, as well as one of the top Indian films of 2022. The film's historic popularity and critical praise have prompted requests for a sequel. Rishabh has stated that a sequel is in the works, although it is still in its early phases.
