Kannada star Chetan Kumar gets arrested over controversial tweet about Hindutva
Actor Chetan Kumar, also known as Chetan Ahimsa, has been arrested for a tweet on Hindutva that allegedly hurt the sentiments of Hindus.

In the tweet made on March 20, Kumar alleged that Hindutva was built on lies, citing examples, such as the claim that the Indian 'nation' began when Ram defeated Ravan and returned to Ayodhya, the assertion that Babri Masjid is the birthplace of Ram, and the accusation that Urigowda-Nanjegowda were killers of Tipu. According to Kumar, the only way to defeat Hindutva is with the truth, the reports said.

Hindutva can be defeated by TRUTH—> truth is EQUALITY
Pro-Hindu organization Bajrang Dal filed a complaint against Kumar hours after he put out the tweet, and an FIR was registered at the Sheshadripuram police station. This is not the actor's first encounter with the law, as he was previously arrested in February 2022 for an objectionable tweet regarding Karnataka High Court Justice Krishna Dixit, who was hearing the hijab case at the time.
