Kannada hit movie "Kantara" is set to release on OTT after a successful run at the box office across the country.Actor and director of ‘Kantara’, Rishab Shetty, announced on Instagram that the movie will be released on the OTT platform Amazon Prime on November 24th. ‘Kantara’ OTT release will take place on Amazon Prime in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.

One of the most critically-acclaimed movies of recent times, ‘Kantara’ was released in movie theatres on September 30th across India, including in the Hindi language. Kantara is produced by Hombale Films and stars Kannada actors such as Rishab Shetty, Achyuth Kumar, Pramod Shetty, Sapthami Gowda, and Kishore.

‘Kantara’ is set in a fictional village in South Karnataka, in which Rishab Shetty plays the lead role of a Kambala champion and describes his tussle with a Forest Range Officer. The movie revolves around a small community in the forests of Kaadubettu, a southern coastal region in Karnataka. The movie beautifully describes the relationship between human beings and nature, in which villagers and evil forces are engaged in a war. Shiva, the lead actor and a rebel in the region, tries to defend his village and nature.
