After defending Vivek Agnihotri’s controversial film The Kashmir Files, actor Kangana Ranaut has now come out in support of The Kerala Story, produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah.

The actor at an event in Mumbai said that The Kerala Story is not showing any community in a bad light, and that it is only showing ISIS (Islamic State or Iraq and Syria) as a terrorist organisation, which it is by all standards.

What exactly did Kangana Ranaut say about The Kerala Story?

While speaking at ABP Majha channel’s event ‘Majha Maha Katta’ in Mumbai, Kangana Ranaut gave her opinion about The Kerala Story after being asked about it.

She said that she has not watched the film, but she is aware that a “lot of effort has gone into trying to ban it”, but that the “High Court has said that the film cannot be banned”.

She further said that she thinks The Kerala Story is not showing anybody in a bad light except the ISIS. “If the HC, the country’s most responsible body, is saying this, they are right. ISIS is a terrorist organisation. It’s not like I am calling them terrorists; our country, the Home Ministry (Ministry of Home Affairs), and other countries have called them so,” she said, as per media reports.

According to the reports, the actor added, “Agar aap aisa samjhte hai ki woh terrorist organisation nahi hai toh zaheer si baat hai phir aap bhi terrorist hi hai. Agar aap sochte hai ek terrorist outfit, ek terrorist nahi hai, aur usko terrorist ghoshit kiya gya hai, legally, morally by every standard aur aapko lagta hai woh terrorist nahi hai toh more than the film you are a bigger problem you should first think about where you stand in life (If you think ISIS is not a terrorist outfit despite it being declared so legally, morally and by every standard, then you are the terrorist… )."

“I am talking about those people who think it’s attacking them, not ISIS. If you think it’s attacking you then you are a terrorist. Maine kuch nahi kaha bhai, ye simple maths hai (it’s simple maths)," she further explained, the reports said.
