Kangana Ranaut takes a dig at ‘Selfiee’ producer Karan Johar, refers to Akshay Kumar’s film as a ‘FLOP’

Kangana Ranaut slammed Karan Johar’s co-produced film ‘Selfiee’ on the day it was released. Raj Mehta directs the film, which stars Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi. Reacting to a box office report of ‘Selfiee’ the actress lauded Karan Johar jokingly. The actress wrote on her Instagram story, “Karan Johar’s produced movie barely made ten lakhs on its first day. They forget to mock or bully Karan Johar the way they harass me”.

Kangana shared an article and reacted “Akshay Kumar is the Male Version of Kangana Ranaut!” in her second post. She wrote that she was searching for news regarding the failure of the movie, but all the articles are about her. She wrote. “Ye bhi meri he Galati hai”, accompanied by some laughing emojis.

Kangana continued to share more news articles. “Akshay sir no mention of Karan Johar name at all, this is how Bollywood mafia manipulates news and builds the perception that suits their narrative”, she wrote in a separate post.


According to industry experts, ‘Selfiee’ will earn between Rs 4 and 5 crore on its first day, Friday.

The movie directed by Raj Mehta is an official Hindi remake of the Malayalam movie ‘Driving License’. The lead actors in the Hindi version are Akshay Kumar, Emraan Hashmi, Diana Penty and Nushrratt Bharuccha. It has the support of Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Magic Frames, Prithviraj Productions, Cape of Good Films and Star Studios.
