Kamal Haasan who is busy with the promotions of his upcoming film Vikram meets superstar Rajinikanth

Veteran actor, politician, and activist, Kamal Haasan recently paid a visit to South-Indian icon and friend Rajinikanth amid the promotions of his upcoming film “Vikram.” Director Lokesh Kangaraj, who accompanied Kamal on his visit took to Twitter to share two pictures that showed Kamal Haasan and himself meeting Rajinikanth at his home. The post was captioned, “Thank you @ikamalhaasan Sir! @rajnikanth Sir! What a friendship! Inspiring Love you Sirs.”

Fans immediately commented on the picture dubbing it friendship goals between the two veteran actors. Many commented how it was a marvel that the two actors have managed to maintain a steady friendship for so many years. A fan commented, “so many years of friendship, and nothing has changed.” Other fans even said that younger actors should take a page from the book of these two legendary actors who maintained their friendship despite being professional rivals. Another fan wrote, “ This is how you put aside ego for friendship.” After seeing the post many fans even hoped that there would be another collaboration between the two actors, which hasn’t taken place since 1985.

Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth have been among the most celebrated actors in Tamil Cinema for over four decades and have given several blockbuster performances over the years. During their initial acting days, the two actors shared a screen multiple times. The two actors first appeared together in the 1975 film “Apoorva Raagangal” where they were both credited for their noteworthy performances. Director Prayag Raj brought together the ultimate combination of the cast when he brought the two superstars along with veteran Bollywood icon Amitabh Bacchan together in his film, “Geraftaar” which was their last film together.


Kamal Haasan is all set for the release of his upcoming action-thriller film “Vikram” which releases in theatres on June 3rd. Rajinikanth was last seen in the film “Annaathe” in 2021 and will be seen in Nelson’s upcoming yet-to-be-titled black comedy which will be his 169th film and is being referred to as “Thalaivar 169.”
