The Bengaluru resident, Anushank Jain shared a screenshot of his Uber booking on Twitter. The driver had initially accepted the ride, but Anushank stated that just a minute later he canceled the ride.

"Huge respect for him if he actually shows up," Twitter user Anushank Jain said in his tweet. The user also added the hashtag #peakbengaluru.

"This tweet screenshot should be sent to all respected HR managers of "work from office" companies in Bengaluru," said one user. "I guess it's time we move to Tier 2&3 cities or rural areas. Higher productivity, low cost of living and ease of living. MNCs should start thinking of employee convenience," tweeted another.

One user said he will have huge respect for Jain if he waits for so long. But he said he didn't have to because the driver cancelled the ride after one minute.

Traffic snarls and frustrated citizens are a relatively common feature for the city. Recently, Bengaluru was ranked as the second most congested city in the world in the city centre (BBMP area) category, according to the traffic index published by Dutch location technology specialist TomTom.

The report showed that on an average, commuters took 29 minutes and 10 seconds to cover 10 km in the CBD area last year. The average speed during rush hour in the city centre was 18kmph.
