Banks will remain closed in select states during July 2026 to mark regional festivals, cultural celebrations, and commemorative occasions.

  • July 6 (Monday): Banks will remain closed in Mizoram on the occasion of Mizo Hmeichhe Insuihkhawm Pawl (MHIP) Day, which honours the state's largest women's welfare organisation.
  • July 9 (Thursday): Banks will be shut in Meghalaya for Beh Deinkhlam, the most significant cultural and religious festival of the Pnar (Jaintia) community.
  • July 16 (Thursday): Banks will remain closed in Odisha, Uttarakhand and Manipur to observe Ratha Yatra/Kang (Rathajatra) and Harela, two important regional festivals.
  • July 17 (Friday): Banks will remain closed in Meghalaya to mark the death anniversary of U Tirot Singh, a revered Khasi freedom fighter.
