JoSAA Counselling 2022: Round 2 seat allotment result today

According to the official JoSAA Counselling 2022 Schedule, the final seat allotment for Round 2 is expected to be released around 5 pm

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JOSAA) will release the round 2 JoSAA Counselling 2022 result today on September 28 based on the choices filled in by candidates during registration.

According to the official JoSAA Counselling 2022 Schedule, the final seat allotment for Round 2 is expected to be released around 5 pm.

After it is released, registered candidates can check the JOSAA seat allotment result at the official website, josaa.nic.in.


Candidates would then begin their process of fee payment, document verification and reporting to their respective allotted institutions.

For Round 2 result, candidates would get time till October 1, 2022 to complete the process. Candidates have time till 5 pm to complete the process.

If candidates are not satisfied with their selected seat, the seat withdrawal window will open tomorrow, on September 29, and will close on October 2.

After the process of Round 2 counselling concludes, JoSAA will release the Round 3 Seat Allocation result on October 3, 2022.

JoSAA Counselling is conducted for admissions into the various branches of IIT, NIT+, IIIT, IIEST Shibpur and other government funded technical institutes.

The JoSAA will conduct six rounds of seat allocation. The CSAB-special rounds will begin on October 24 after the completion of JoSAA rounds. The whole counselling process is expected to be completed by November 6.

The JEE-Advanced was conducted on August 28 and the result was declared on September 11. JEE-Main, which is the admission test for engineering colleges across the country, is the qualifying exam for JEE-Advanced.

As many as 1,55,538 candidates appeared in both paper one and two in JEE (Advanced) 2022. A total of 40,712 candidates have qualified of which 6,516 are female.

A total of 16,598 seats are up for grabs across 23 IITs this year, including 1,567 supernumerary seats for female candidates. There is a marginal increase in the number of seats from last year.
