John Abraham compliments 'Pathaan' co-star Shah Rukh Khan, despite rumors of dispute

John Abraham has spoken out about his Pathaan co-star following allegations that Shah Rukh Khan and he were having a falling out.

In a video posted by Pathaan's producers, Yash Raj Films, John praises Shah Rukh and expresses his eagerness for his comeback while discussing the movie Pathaan and his co-star Shah Rukh Khan.

Shah Rukh returns to the lead role in a movie after more than four years with Pathaan. In the movie, John Abraham portrays the opponent. As part of the movie's marketing effort, YRF published a video titled ‘Pathaan talks with John Abraham’ on Thursday. Similar videos of Shah Rukh with the movie's director Siddharth Anand have already been posted by YRF.


When questioned about Shah Rukh's comeback John said that the entire nation has missed him. According to earlier reports, John's relationship with Shah Rukh had been tense as a result of his dissatisfaction with the Pathaan film's final edit. After John avoided a question on Shah Rukh Khan's body in Pathaan at a recent event, the rumours garnered attention. Later on, he did write a remark on Pathaan, indicating that he was looking forward to the movie's release and wanted to say a lot, but would hold off until then.

Shah Rukh Khan also talked about working with John when there were rumours about their actual fight. He discussed how John refuses to punch him during a sequence and referred to him as a “national treasure”.

The cast and crew of Pathaan have not yet done any interviews or made any promotional appearances on any shows, which is a break from several of the recent high-budget Bollywood movies. Despite this, the movie had a lot of excitement and made Rs. 1.33 crore in pre-sales a week before it opened. Movie is all set to hit theatres on January 25, 2023.
