Jodhpur: Two sisters found dead just hours before their wedding
Two sisters aged 25 and 23 were found dead at their home in Manai village of Jodhpur, a day before their weddings, in a shocking incident that has left the local community stunned. According to a TOI report, the deaths occurred in the early hours of Friday, just hours before their marriage ceremonies were scheduled for Saturday.

Two Sisters Found Dead in Jodhpur Ahead of Wedding

The deceased have been identified as Shobha (25) and Vimla (23), daughters of Deep Singh. Both sisters were working as teachers at a private school. Their weddings were scheduled to take place on Saturday, and celebrations had continued at the house until late Friday night.

As per the TOI report, the sisters went to their room around midnight after the festivities.

Health Deteriorated Around 4 AM, Declared Dead at Hospital

According to ADCP (West) Roshan Meena, at around 4 am, the sisters’ health suddenly deteriorated. Family members immediately rushed them to a private hospital in Jodhpur. However, doctors declared them dead on arrival. Their bodies were later brought back home.

Police Halt Cremation, Bodies Sent for Post-Mortem

The family initially began preparations for the last rites without conducting a post-mortem. However, police reached the spot around 6 am after receiving information about the incident and stopped the cremation.

The bodies were subsequently sent to the MGH mortuary for post-mortem examination and later handed over to the family.

Possible Poison Consumption, No Suicide Note Found

Preliminary investigation suggests that the sisters may have died after consuming a poisonous substance. However, officials have stated that the exact cause of death will be confirmed only after the post-mortem report is released.

No suicide note has been recovered so far, police said.

The tragic deaths of the two sisters, just a day before their weddings, have sent shockwaves through Jodhpur and raised several unanswered questions as the investigation continues.
