Marvel star Jeremy Renner has revealed that the near-fatal snow plow accident eventually turned out to be a reason behind quit smoking. During his interaction on Jimmy Kimmel Show, the Hollywood actor has said this was the best thing that happened to him after accident.

Renner survived a massive accident during which he was crushed under snowplow. Around 30 bones were broken and the actor had to undergo a number of surgeries. He suffered blunt chest trauma. He was on the ground for 45 minutes before an ambulance could get to him

The accident happened at his property in Nevada on New Years' Day.



"I quit smoking. It's easy... the easiest way to quit smoking. I couldn't imagine quitting smoking, I'd be a wreck of a human but because I almost killed myself I didn't think about smoking. It was easy peasy," the 52-year-old said on the Jimmy Kimmel Show.


Earlier on Tuesday, Renner attended the premiere of his upcoming series 'Rennervations' in Los Angeles. The documentary mini-series 'Rennervations' will be premiering on Disney plus on April 12.
