'Jehanabad-of Love and War' OTT release date: When and where to watch the crime thriller, check details

SonyLIV released a teaser for the next crime thriller , 'Jehanabad-of Love and War', in early January 2023, and the peek piqued the interest of various people, who expressed their enthusiasm about the premiere.. Fans flocked to social media to implore the creators to release the show, and much to their delight, the crew on January 24 announced the official streaming date of the thriller.

The trailer has established a solemn tone for the new series.'Jehanabad-of Love and War' which will be available on SonyLiv on February 3.



The narrative of the series, which is set in Jehanabad, Bihar, a tiny municipality 'Jehanabad-of Love and War', is described as exploring the resultant issues that evolved from a long and cruel history of Naxalism and Caste inequality.


The series will show the love story of a progressive professor and his student in the movie's core topic. Their marriage plans have been derailed by the major outbreak of warfare between Naxalites and police troops. The thriller delves into the problem of excruciating caste inequality, as well as the reactionaries plotting a jailbreak for their leader.


Viewers will also see a selfish MLA in the centre of the narrative who is seeking to score Dalit votes by all means. The entire tale is based on the historic Jehanabad Jailbreak in 2005, in which 372 convicts left the jail in a well-planned operation.


Ritwik Bhowik will portray the lead professor in the film, while Harshita Gaur will be featured as the student who will play his lovestruck pupil.


Parambrata Chattopadhyay will play the Naxalite chief, whose reactionary troops are plotting his release from prison. Satyadeep Mishra, Suneel Sinha, Rajesh Jais, Rajat Kapoor, and Sonal Jha will also appear in the film.


Rajiv Barnwal wrote and directed the usual Bihar politics and backdrop events that follow on the show. According to creator Sudhir Mishra, the programme would incorporate elements of romance, treachery, crime, excitement, and suspense.
