JEE Main 2026 Session 1 answer key released at jeemain.nta.nic.in; check direct link and dropped questions

The National Testing Agency has released the final answer key for Session 1 of the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2026. Candidates who appeared for the January session can check the final answers on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The result is expected to be declared shortly.

The final answer key has been prepared after reviewing objections raised by candidates against the provisional key. Subject experts examined the challenges submitted within the stipulated deadline, and necessary revisions have been incorporated. The result will be prepared strictly on the basis of this final answer key, and no further objections will be accepted. Students are advised to keep their application number and date of birth ready to check their score once it is announced.

Nine questions dropped after review of objections
According to the final answer key, a total of nine questions have been dropped in JEE Main 2026 Session 1 (Paper 1 – BE/BTech). These questions were removed after subject experts evaluated the objections raised against the provisional answer key and determined that they should be withdrawn.

As per NTA rules, if a question is dropped, full marks are awarded to all candidates who attempted that question. In some cases, candidates who were present in the examination may also receive the benefit, depending on the official marking policy. The dropped questions are spread across different shifts of the January session.

The final scores and percentiles will be calculated after taking these revisions into account.
