JEE Main 2026 Session 2 application window reopens at jeemain.nta.nic.in; check deadline and exam dates

The National Testing Agency has reopened the application window for Joint Entrance Examination Main 2026 Session 2 after receiving requests from candidates who were unable to complete their registration or fee payment before the earlier deadline.

The application portal will reopen this afternoon, and candidates will be able to submit their forms until March 13, 2026, at 9 pm. The last date to complete the fee payment is March 13, 2026, at 11:50 pm.

How to apply for JEE Main 2026 Session 2

Candidates can submit their applications through the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.


Students who had already registered for Session 1 can log in using their existing application number and password. Meanwhile, new applicants will have to complete the registration process before filling out the application form.

JEE Main 2026 Session 2 exam dates

According to the official schedule, JEE Main 2026 Session 2 will be conducted from April 2 to April 9, 2026. Admit cards are expected to be issued three to four days before the examination.

Eligibility criteria

Candidates who passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination in 2024 or 2025, as well as those appearing in 2026, are eligible to apply for the exam. There is no age limit for candidates appearing for JEE Main 2026 Session 2.

Details to be filled by Session 1 applicants

Students who had already applied and paid the examination fee for the January session and wish to appear for Session 2 must log in with their previous application number and password. After logging in, they will need to select or update the following details:

• Course (paper)
• Medium of the question paper
• State code of eligibility
• Preferred examination cities from the available options
• Educational qualification details (Class 10 and Class 12)
• Fee payment completion
