Exam Pattern
So far, the JEE Main test format has been consistent and there haven't been any major changes. For JEE Main, there will be two sessions. Section A will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs), whilst Section B will consist of questions that must be answered with a number value. Section A is mandatory, and it awards four points for each correct response while subtracting one point for each incorrect response. Section B requires candidates to attempt any five of the ten questions. Section B will not have any failing grades.
Number of candidates for JEE Main 2023
Each year, almost 9.5 lakh people apply for the JEE Main test, and many of them reapply in an attempt to improve their results. This year's candidate pool is expected to be similar to last year's. In all, 10,26,799 candidates enrolled for the JEE Main 2022 test in 2022, including both in June and July attempts. Up to 9,05,590 of these students took the exam.
