Jawan director Atlee Kumar and wife Priya reveal name of baby boy, share family photo

Film director Atlee and his wife Krishna Priya, have been on cloud nine since they welcomed a baby boy. The couple, who tied the knot in 2017 after eight years of dating, announced the birth of their child on January 31, 2023, and now they have announced the name of the baby boy.

Atlee took to social media to share the name of his boy by posting a photo of the family at a Ganesh temple in Mumbai. "Happy to announce that we are pregnant and need all your blessing and love. With love Atlee and Priya," read the post.




The couple announced their pregnancy in December 2022, with Krishna Priya sharing pictures of the couple on social media.
Atlee and Krishna Priya are now enjoying parenthood and have expressed their gratitude for all the love and support they've received from fans and well-wishers. In his tweet, Atlee thanked everyone for their blessings and prayers and revealed the meaning behind his son's name, Meer, which means "Chief," "Head," or "Leader."

For the unversed, the couple also owns a production company, A for Apple Production, which has produced two films to date.
Atlee, who is best known for directing the Indian Tamil-language films Raja Rani, Theri, and Mersal, is currently busy with the upcoming release of his highly anticipated film, Jawan.

The movie stars Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara in the lead roles, and also features Sunil Grover, Sanya Malhotra, and Priyamani in important roles, with a cameo appearance by Vijay Sethupathi. After several delays, Jawan is set to hit theaters worldwide on September 7, 2023, instead of the previously announced June 2 release date.
