Jatadhara examines how superstition and fear affect families and relationships in India. The narrative connects myth with present-day experiences, showing how black magic and jealousy can break trust and peace. According to the film team, the story also highlights that divine power, especially linked to Lord Shiva, brings clarity and strength.
Sonakshi Sinha plays a central character who represents the struggle between power and control. The film also stars Sudheer Babu, Shilpa Shirodkar, Indira Krishna, Ravi Prakash, Naveen Neni, Rohit Pathak, Jhansi, Rajeev Kanakala, and Subhalekha Sudhakar.
The makers say the role goes beyond performance and looks deeply at human nature and choices.
Jatadhara is presented by Zee Studios' Umesh KR Bansal, Prerna Arora, Shivin Narang, Aruna Agarwal, Prerna Arora, Shilpa Singhal and Nikhil Nanda, co-produced by Akshay Kejriwal and Kussum Arora, Creative Producer Divya Vijay and Supervising Producer Bhavini Goswami.
